the furnished apartments we promote. In fact
we find that many of our clients come back

business is through referrals from our
existing clientele.
Does Lara Group own these vacation
rentals?
No, Lara Group
is a real estate brokerage firm who
represents several landlords in Manhattan.
For vacation rentals, Lara Group is only
working with landlords that have many units
in the same building and have mantained a
good relationship with us for a long time.
This ensures that no matter how
unpredictable an event is, you will have a
place to stay for your reservation period.
Our fees are included in the price, so there
is no additional charges for renting the
apartments through us.
What is the difference between a hotel
and a vacation rental?
Vacation apartments offer spacious, fully
furnished apartments with a self catering
kitchen or kitchenette facility, much larger
than hotel rooms featuring a genuine more
home-like residential character apartment.
How accurate
is the information in the website?
All information presented in
NYVacationApartments.com is updated on a
continuos basis and we are adding more
descriptions an photos to help you have a
better feeling on the short term apartment we
offer. We make every attempt to keep
information as up-to- date and accurate as
possible. However, we cannot be held
responsible for any inaccuracies in our
pages, exact guaranteed prices are always
given at the time the booking and once
confirmed, you will receive written
confirmation of the reservation by E Mail or
fax.
How do I make
reservations

Select the short term rental you are
interested in. You can select from Vacation Studios,
1 Bedrooms and 2 Bedrooms. Click on the
camera to view all apartment photos.

- Click on the envelope in the vacation
apartment you are interested in to send us
an email with your dates.

- We will send you an email confirming the
availability or sending you the options for
your dates.

- When you are ready TO BOOK, we will email
you a credit card form with the apartment
information, reservation dates, rates and
rental policy for you to sign and fax back
to us.
5 - Once we process your credit card,
you will receive an email confirmation with
all the instruction on how to get the keys.
What happens if I have
a problem/complaint on arrival?
Any complaints must be brought to our
attention immediately so we have every
opportunity to resolve the problem right
away. If you fail to follow this procedure
we can not be held responsible, as some
properties will refuse to deal with any
complaints that have not been notified while
staying at the property.
When my flight is early, can I have early
occupation of the apartment?
This is unlikely and there's no guarantee of
early occupancy unless you book the night
before your arrival date. In this case you
can arrive as early as you like as you will
have paid for the vacation apartment and no other
guests will be checking out that morning.
However, you can check with us at the last
moment to see if there is no guest moving
out that same day. In that case, we
will be more that happy to let you move to
the apartment early.
What happens if I have a late flight and
would like to stay longer in the apartment
This is a
definite NO. If you wish to ensure that the
apartment is available after departure time,
the apartment must be booked an extra night.
In most cases the apartments are booked back
to back and they have to be thoroughly
cleaned and ready for the next guest. Again,
you can always check with us and see if
there is a possibility.
Can I extend my stay?
Only if the apartment is available on the
dates that you want to extend. Give your
agent a call to find out about availability.
Is my credit card
number and personal information secure?
Yes, your credit card and personal
information are secure with us. We make sure
that all information is faxed to us instead
of sent by email for more security.
If I have a question about my
reservation, who do I contact and how?
Please email or call the agent that is
taking your reservation. Our agents
are very happy to help you with all
questions you may have.
When I make a
reservation, will my credit card be charged?
Yes, your credit card will be charged
immediately. But it will be ONLY charged
when we can confirm your booking request.
If we cannot confirm your booking request,
we will not charge your credit card and you
will receive an email on this regard.
How will I know when I
am confirmed?
Usually within 24 hours unless it is a
Friday and we have to wait until Monday to
confirm your request. Our office is closed on weekends. As soon as we confirm
your request, we will charge your credit
card and send you a confirmation by e-mail.
What is the "
Cancellation " policy?
Our cancellation policy is the following:
"If
the lease is cancelled 20 days before the
move in date, the rent will be refunded and
a 30% processing fee will be deducted from
the rent. Otherwise, rent will not be
refunded".
Is a security deposit required?
Yes, we will take a credit card imprint
(authorization only) to protect the
landlords against unforeseen damage to the
property, and to cover incidental charges.
This is no different than the credit card
imprint taken by any hotel at check-in.
These funds are never charged. After check out, if any damages are found in the vacation apartment you reserved, you will be automatically charged for those damages on your credit card. We will send you an email with all the details.
How many people can
sleep in an apartment?
This depends
on the type of apartment booked. When you
choose your short term apartment online, it will show
the maximum number of people allowed in the
apartment of your choice. In some cases an
extra bed can be provided, or a cot for a
baby. A small additional charge may apply
for this. If you are not sure what type of
apartment you should book for the number of
people in your party, please contact us so
we can recommend you the right apartment for
you. If you will need an extra bed or a cot,
make sure that you discuss this with the
agent helping you with the reservation since
it can only be arranged in advance.
How about linen and towels?
All vacation rentals provide 1 or more
sets of towels and sheets. Once you use them
there will be no clean replacement, unless
daily maid service is provided in the
apartment.
Do you supply soap, toilet paper and
other things in the apartment?
Yes, most of the vacation rentals we offer
supply toilet paper and complimentary soap
on arrival and then clients do their own
purchases or the apartment is restocked when
serviced. However, none of them supply
paper towel, dishes detergent, shampoo, etc.
What about collecting
keys for the apartment?
Some of our vacation rentals have a front
desk reception / 24hr doorman facility. In
this case, your keys will be left with the
doorman under your name. Others are in non
doorman buildings where you will have to
meet the super to get the keys. For
those apartments, we will make the
arrangements necessary for the super to be
there when you arrive to the apartment. We
will also provide you with his/her phone
number so you can give the super a call as
soon as you arrive to the airport.
This will help the super to be at the
building on time so that you do not have to
wait for the keys.
